http://pearos.codeplex.com/ Pear OS is an Open source, C#-based operating system using the Cosmos kernel. Pear OS has been worked on quite a bit through out the years, but we needed a fresh code start. So we advanced to the current release of Cosmos and are starting over on Pear OS. If you would like to know how to use Cosmos better or just want to help out, you can! You may use the source code any way you want. But the way we do it is, if you commit some code, or a few other things, we mark you as a developer, anybody that's a developer or coordinator may use the source code anyway they want. We are a growing community that needs more followers and developers. So how do I run this? Boot PearOsWell it is quite easy, first download the current source, as it will be the best one. Make sure you have Cosmos installed, if you don't look at the link above. Open PearOs's source code and click the drop down next to the green arrow and select Release, now click the green arrow. When VMWare opens, you may Run Pear Close it In this case close it, and go into the source code, under bin > release you will find a ISO, this is important, that is PearOs's ISO, you will use it in this tutorial here: Boot By usb or you may burn it to a CD and run it on your computers startup, if you don't know how to do that, look up "How to boot to a CD on startup" you should find some Google articles explaining how to do it. OR If you lack massive tech knowledge or Visual Studio you can wait till our stable milestone releases which are released when we have met all the goals for that release. Then follow the instructions for the ISO above using the one you downloaded Live boots do not currently work due to a bug in COSMOS, however we do have a list of previously working computers here: What computers work with Pear OS?
